 Q.  What is Santa Barbara Weddings TM?
A.  Santa Barbara Weddings .   Penny Goggans business name (dba).  (since 1989)
 Penny Goggans  was the first  to offer Complete Wedding packages in Santa Barbara).
 and now we will be providing you with the BEST Vendors in Santa Barbara.
  Q.  How do we reserve our time for our wedding date?
 A.  Just call Us. And we'll set everything up for you.
     Know what Wedding date and time you desire, the location and package.
Q.  How far in advance should we reserve our time?
A.  Appointments on weekends fill up fast.....So if you have an exact time you wish
     call and get it on our books as soon as you have made your decision.
     Many times we can arrange a service within 48 hours or same day depending.
 Q.    How will we know if our Wedding Time and Packages Have been confirmed?
A.    The Wedding Coordinator will call you and confirm to Date-Time-Package,
Q.    What if it Rains the Day of Our Wedding and it's planned for outside?
A.    We do not allow it to Rain here on Saturdays  :) The 20 Years of doing weddings in
       Santa Barbara (all months), We have only had to take it into Our Courthouse 6 times.
       So go head and plan the Wedding you want and worry about something else.
Q.  How and When do we pay for the services?
A.   Payment in full must  be made the day of your wedding in cash (the green stuff).
      All personal Checks must be received 14 days prior to wedding.  
      We do not take credit cards or checks on site the day of your wedding.
Q.  How much time are we allowed?
A.  Each package is different.  Included in your package price is allotted enough
      time for us to serve you, ceremony, photography, video & paper work,
     co-ordinating and guest arrival.
      Ask at the time you make reservations about your package time
     also this will help you to plan for your reception, dinner or party time.
Q.  How many Guest can we have?
A.    Our packages are at a reduced prices and each has a allotted number of Guest.
       If you are having more than the allowed no., move up to a larger package OR
       Contract our services individually (ala-carte so to speak)
        and pay for each guest $5.00 each (Bride & Groom excluded). If you purchase a package
       that only  includes 20 guest and 30 show up...You have not complied with
        that package and you will be charged  $5.00 Xs 30 = $150.00 extra over package price.
Q.  Can others take pictures?
A.  Yes! If you hire other vendors you must inform us about this.
      We have a time schedule and they must be advised as to Our position and
      agreement with you. We have regulations on the Ceremony and formal photos.
Q.  What time do we arrive if our wedding is at 2:00pm?
A.   Your time is 2:00pm (not 2:15) 5 to 10  minutes before your time is good. 
      Tell your guest that the ceremony will begin on time. Allow for traffic and distance
      of your drive and the time of day makes a big difference in car traffic.
      We are now charging late fees of $80.00 per 1/2 hour or any portion there of.
Q.  What if we want more Time or we are Late?
A.  Late! see above. Wedding times are set according to Locations and Packages
      for that day. We are here  to serve each and every Bride and Groom in a
     relaxed environment. We do not want a "stand in line  or take a number" atmosphere.
     If you feel you need more time or you are late there is an extra charge.
     If available Extra Blocks of Time are: 30 Minutes $80.00 to $300.00
Q.  Should We have Flowers for our parents?
A.  Yes! If you have flowers and your parents are present.  you may add on to your package..
Q.  Are Chairs provided?
A.   Yes, with the "Jazzy Special"- The "Tropic Isle"  the"Courthouse Garden Special" and
        Our "Ocean Breeze" and Chapel Packages..
      You may order Arch and chairs  separately for Gold Coast or Officiant only.
       $5.00 per chair Delivered and set up.  On the Beach/Surf side $1.00 more @chair.

      We do have  minimum order of 30 chair. 
      We rent only to our Weddings with Our wedding Services.
 Q. We have Children.  Are They included in the Ceremony?
A.  Yes,  talk to your officiant about this, they are more than happy to include
     "The Kids" as this is important for them to feel apart of your new lives together.
     You may even give a token of jewelry when you exchange your rings.
Q.  Is a Tip necessary?
A.  While a gratuity is always appreciated by us ..... it is not necessary
       Wedding and Reception Packages Gratuity of 15% is automatically added
Q.  Where Do we get Dressed?
A.  The Locations shown are public locations, there are no dressing rooms.
      Most come dressed.  There are public rest rooms  (if this is what you want?)
      When coming from your hotel....book enough time for check-in time and
      dressing time, relaxing etc., before you consider you wedding time.
Q.  What do we need?
A.  Each other! :) Your Marriage License or if we issue....Bring your valid State
      photo ID.(drivers license, military ID or passport) You will need to know
      where your parents were born, your mothers maiden name, and if you have been
      married before, you will be asked for the final date of that marriage. OH YES!
     Cash if your not pre-paid.
Q.  When do we get the License?
A.  When you purchase your own Marriage License it will be good for 90 days.
      If we issue the license,  we must know 3 days in advance and that day  you will have a notarized
          copy of   your License when you leave. Click Here for CA Marriage License and Santa Barbara County
        Your officiant will file original marriage license with in 4 days in the county it was issued in.
     It takes about 10 working days to get a certified copy from Santa Barbara County.
     You must request it send $13.00 for each copy to the County Clerk to get copies.
 Q.  When do we get our pictures?
A.  In 10-12 Working days you will receive your CD or originals by mailYou will choose your
      prints from the package you have chosen and mail back the slip and original prints
     for lab analysis.  Finished order takes 6-8 weeks. Video Production takes 6-8 Weeks.
Q.  Can we Just Show Up?
A.  No! Everything is by Appointment Only. However many times we can work out
     a time within a couple of hours or the next day.
Q.  Do we have to reserve these public locations.
A.  NO & YES.  This is not necessary as these are public placesThe special sites that we
       prefer to use most of the time there is no one else using it....however each locations is quite
      large and to move just a few feet in another area of that same locations solves any conflicts.
      If your wedding is large and/or you have chairs and arch set up on your package chosen,
      the City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Dept is now charging a permit fee,
        $450.00 to $600.00. Included in all Packages with chairs.
     With our wonderful Weather and Special Beauty, Santa Barbara is very popular
     for weddings and it is not unusual to see multiple weddings especially on weekends.
     If special reservations are needed for certain areas you will be told before booking.
Q.  Are there any hidden or extra Charges?
A.  No hidden but....  There is 8.75% CA state tax on Tangibles and Wedding  packages.
Q.  May we hire outside vendors along with our package?
A.  Yes! However when bringing your own Minister or  Photographer with package,
      be sure and tell Us  before so there are   NO  problems on your Wedding day.
